FAQs
Why Should I Go Solar?
Solar energy provides numerous benefits, including substantial financial savings and a reduced environmental footprint. Installing a solar system enhances your home’s value and contributes to a sustainable future.
What Are the Financial Benefits of Solar Energy?
By installing solar panels, you can significantly lower your electricity bills and shield yourself from future rate hikes. While savings vary based on local rates and policies, solar energy is a sound financial choice for any location.
What Is Net Metering?
Net metering allows homeowners to receive credit for the excess electricity their solar panels generate. You pay only for the electricity you use beyond what your panels produce. Since policies can differ by city, ask our solar experts to verify if your utility company provides net metering.
Why Should You Choose Us?
We are dedicated to mentoring youth and offering second chances, with a mission that extends beyond solar energy. Our core values promote physical health, mental resilience, spiritual well-being, financial independence, and mentorship. We offer summer internships with paid room and board based on performance and participation in workouts, study groups, and sales activities. These internships provide valuable business skills applicable to any career path. Additionally, we support the younger generation through our scholarship program, helping them afford college, trade school, or beauty college.
What Solar Energy Rebates and Incentives Exist?
Incentives vary by location, with the 30% federal tax credit (ITC) being the most significant. The ITC allows both homeowners and businesses to claim 30% of their solar system costs as a tax credit, covering the entire system. This tax credit will remain at 30% until 2032. In 2033, it will decrease to 26%, drop to 22% in 2034, and be phased out entirely by 2035.
While Oklahoma currently does not offer additional state rebates, some cities may have local rebates available. One of our solar experts can check for any additional rebates specific to your area to help maximize your savings.
Should I Buy or Lease My Solar Panel System?
Buying your system maximizes financial returns, while leasing offers a hassle-free way to lower energy bills and support environmental goals. Both options reduce electricity costs and environmental impact. We will go over all options with you so you can make the best decision for your situation.
Do I Need to Replace My Roof Before Installing Solar?
If your roof needs maintenance soon, it’s best to complete it before installing solar panels to avoid additional costs of removing and reinstalling the panels later. Don’t worry—each roof will be inspected by a trained professional. Our parent company, Affordable Construction, has been in the roofing industry for over 47 years, so you’re in excellent hands. If your roof needs replacement, we’ll work with your insurance to determine if it’s eligible for a full replacement.
How Much Can I Expect to Save with Solar?
When you request a personalized quote, our in-house energy experts will analyze factors like your energy usage, utility rates, and sunlight exposure to determine your potential savings. We’ll only recommend solar if it’s the right solution for your home’s energy needs.
