Key Responsibilities
Learn electrical fundamentals through hands-on solar installation work
Assist experienced electricians with residential solar panel system installations
Help with electrical connections from solar arrays to inverters and electrical panels
Learn to install and configure monitoring systems and electrical safety equipment
Assist with electrical system assessments and basic calculations
Support routine maintenance and system inspections
Learn troubleshooting techniques for inverters, monitoring, and electrical connectivity
Help with upgrades and modifications to existing solar installations
Learn local electrical codes, NEC standards, and utility requirements
Work alongside experienced solar technicians to complete projects efficiently
Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and materials used
Develop professional communication skills with homeowners
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Strong work ethic and eagerness to learn
Basic math and problem-solving skills
Physical ability to work on rooftops and in various weather conditions
Comfortable working at heights
Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
Good communication skills
Interest in renewable energy and electrical work
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with hand tools and basic construction
Any exposure to electrical work (hobby, vocational school, etc.)
Technical or trade school background
Bilingual capabilities (English/Spanish)
Previous experience in construction, roofing, or related trades

Work Environment This position involves both indoor and outdoor work, primarily at residential properties. Work includes new installations and service calls to existing solar systems. Work is performed in various weather conditions and requires climbing on rooftops and working at heights. Standard work hours are Monday through Friday with occasional weekend work as needed.
